Yesterday was the most fun fourteen hours I have had in a long while. It was much needed on both our parts, and we were sad to see it end so quickly. But we enjoyed what time we had, and took pictures to document. :-) It hadn't hit me until now how much I miss my city. That's all I am going to say about that. :-)
Its funny how time changes so much of us, and everything around us. But when we are together, our friendship seems to stay the same. For a while, it was rocky, but it never changed the bond. I used to say that time and space has changed our friendship forever, but I don't think it ever did. Our friendship didn't change, we have just matured.
I'm not saying we are these fine grown people, but we has grown a little. Instead of making up stories about getting married to our crush of the month, our conversations have changed. This I am greatful for. :-)
At thirteen I was moody, had blonde, fuzzy hair, and afraid to be independent. Amy was twelve, shy, picky, and had a trigger happy giggle. We were like night and day, many marvled at how we became friends. Now she still has that giggle, and is slightly less picky, and I am still moody, but with softer hair. :-)
For the past three years we have had this quirky tradition of taking our picture in a photo booth every July. And for some strange reason, we have always gotten together and made it happen. Needless to say these are not the most attractive photos, but nevertheless they contain some pretty precious memories.
She is my best friend. We both use movies quotes in everday life, share a love for Anne of Green Gables, know every disney song known to man, and name our cars.
Although God has placed us on two different paths, I know I will always have her, whereever we are.
